How to add a stairway to my plan?

Integrating a stairway between two floors

When your project includes multiple floors, you can add stairways to your plan by following these steps.

On the Lower Level:

1. Define Your Stairway Area:

  • If necessary, add plaster walls on the sides of the stairway and close off the space using a separator.

  • If no plaster walls are required, use only separators to define the area.

  • Once your space is created, rename it "Stairway" from the room menu.

2. Add the Staircase:

  • In the Objects menu, search for "Stairs", select the appropriate model, and place it in the designated location on the plan.

  • In the Stairs object menu, adjust its width and depth if necessary. Note: It is not possible to add extra steps.

On the Upper Level:

1. Place the resizable "stairwell opening" object by matching the dimensions of the opening corresponding to the staircase. If your stairwell is L-shaped, you can place the object twice to create the desired shape.

2. The area of the stairwell will automatically be deducted from the total room area as well as from the surface area of the flooring to be planned.
